Former Celtics forward Glen Davis to pay fine to avoid jail time

Just over a year ago, former Boston Celtics big man Glen “Big Baby” Davis was arrested with possession of four ounces (126 grams) of marijuana in a Maryland hotel. He was then indicted for seven counts of drug possession and distribution.

According to the Associated Press, Davis has agreed to pay $15,000 to avoid jail time for the charges.

Davis was a member of the 2008 Celtics that won the NBA Finals. A rookie in that season, Davis played in 69 games and averaged 4.5 points per game. He then went on to play three more years in Boston before spending two-and-a-half years with the Orlando Magic and one-and-a-half years with the Los Angeles Clippers.
