Former Boston Celtics champion shooting guard Ray Allen had himself a close call on his bicycle recently and wants the world to know on the off chance it encourages a few souls to take greater care on two wheels.
The 2008 Celtics title team member posted several photos on his personal Instagram of the injuries he sustained in a tumble from his bike after hitting a tree branch in the road while distracted by a nearby vehicle near his home. “Yesterday as I approached the end of my bike ride, I was cruising through my neighborhood and a car pulled up slowly behind me,” wrote the UConn product.
“I sped up to get out of the way,” he continued.
