Former Celtic WAG Helen Flanagan reveals she 'hates herself' for shouting at her children in emotional post

Helen Flanagan has opened up about 'hating herself' after losing her temper and shouting at her children in an emotional post.

The 31-year-old, who has three kids, Matilda, six, Delilah, three, and Charlie, one, with her fiancé Scott Sinclair, spoke about the realities of parenting. The former Coronation Street star was taking part in a Q&A on her Instagram Stories on Sunday when a fan asked how she 'seems so calm'.

"How do you keep it together you seem so calm," they asked the former Celtic WAG. Answering this question on social media, Helen shared a selfie of her looking exhausted with her hand covering half of her face after crying.

"I am not. We just share a lot of the highlights on social media I try and be as real as I can on here...." she said. "Yesterday I shouted at the kids and hated myself for that I was just trying to give them a nice day...

"And today I cried because I felt overwhelmed but you just get on and all you can do is just try your best." Helen is always open with fans about the highs and lows of being a parent, and previously discussed earlier this year about her decision to stop breast feeding.

The star posted: "I've decided to stop feeding. I've really enjoyed nursing Charlie but the past month I've just had enough. Today was the first day I'm trying to gradually wean him off during the day (he feeds too much).

"I love being a mum and I'm so grateful for my babies, but I've just felt so drained so making some changes. Found the past weeks quite challenging with mum life.

"I think it's quite good to be honest as we see such perfect images of motherhood on social media. I've never had any childcare for Charlie but I've decided to get some this week.

"To help him eat more and get off the boob. It's just different stages and they will pass."
