Karamoko Dembele has opened up on his decision to join French Ligue 1 club Stade Brestois 29.
The former Celtic youngster has put pen to paper on a four-year deal following his exit from Parkhead and pointed towards the 'project' at his new club as a major factor in his decision to sign long-term. He believes he can secure some top team playing time and sees it as a great opportunity to develop his game.
Dembele burst onto the scene as a youngster with very high hopes for his future after mixing it with pros much older than him when he turned out for Celtic's reserve side in his early teens. Hype has built since then and links to some of Europe's biggest clubs only added fuel to the fire over where his career could end up in the coming years. However, he could only manage 10 first-team appearances at Celtic - with injury disrupting his first season under Ange Postecoglou.

The 19-year-old has now officially left the Hoops for a new adventure in France.
Speaking to the club website, he said: “I come to Brest because I saw that the project presented by Greg Lorenzi was good.
"It's something that suits me and I think I can have some playing time here. It was a great opportunity that presented itself to me and it interested me.
“I'm very explosive, I like to have fun and give it to the fans and of course I like to score and win”.
The youngster- who has represented both England and Scotland at youth level - will wear the number 18 shirt for his new side.
