Former Celtic duo given combined transfer value of over €150m in Europe-wide study

Former Celtic duo Virgil van Dijk and Moussa Dembélé have been given a collective transfer value of over €150m in a new Europe-wide football study.

The biannual transfer list study by stats bible CIES Football Observatory lists the ex-Hoops stars among the 100 big-5 league players with the highest estimated transfer values.

Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk was placed in 24th position with a current transfer value of €98.5m, behind Lionel Messi (€100.1m) and Inter Milan's Argentine striker Lautaro Martínez (€98.9m).

While current Lyon forward Dembélé was given a value of €54.2m, ahead of the likes of Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata (€53.6m), Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba (€50.6m) and Barca keeper Marc-André ter Stegen (€50.2m).

Unsurprisingly, PSG forward Kylian Mbappé heads the list with a current transfer value of €259.2m, with Manchester City ace Raheem Sterling in second place with a transfer value of €194.7m.
