Former Celtic boss 'targets' Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos with interest also reported from Qatar

Alfredo Morelos is reportedly a target for Leicester City.

Record Sport today say that a Colombian report has former Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers interested in bringing Morelos to the English Premier League.

The 23-year-old has been the subject of frequent speculation regarding his future, and MailOnline are today reporting that Morelos could be on his way to Qatar.

They say Al-Duhail want Morelos to join former Juventus players Mario Mandzukic, Mehdi Benatia and Han Kwang-song at the club, and that the Ibrox club would demand a fee of over £15m.

Al-Duhail have also been recently linked with Moroccan international Khalid Boutaib and Manchester City's David Silva.

Morelos has made 137 appearances for Rangers since arriving at the club in June 2017, scoring 77 goals.

It was reported earlier this week that Rangers could land Florian Kamberi on a cut-price deal.

The striker joined Steven Gerrard's side on loan from Hibs in January, and Record Sport reported that £150k could be enough to make the move permanent.

English Championship side Hull City are believed to have already had bids rejected for the Albanian.
