Former Celtic and Liverpool striker Kenny Dalglish pays tribute to NHS heroes after being released from hospital

Former Celtic, Liverpool and Scotland striker Kenny Dalglish has been released from hospital after testing positive for coronavirus.

Dalglish, 69, was admitted to hospital on Wednesday of this week for a "treatment of an infection which required intravenous antibiotics".

While in hospital, he was routinely checked for Co-vid 19 and tested positive, despite showing no symptoms.

He is now recovering in self-isolation at home.

Dalglish, in his column for The Sunday Post newspaper, paid tribute to NHS staff who are working on the frontlines admid the coronavirus pandemic.

He said: “They were absolutely brilliant. As a nation, we are all very fortunate to have them and I wish them all well as they work tirelessly to help the country through this pandemic".
