Former Celtic and Hibs striker Anthony Stokes signs for Livingston

Anthony Stokes has signed for Livingston.

The former Celtic, Hibs and Falkirk striker has signed a one-year deal for Gary Holt's side.

Livi become the 13th club of the Irishman's career, which has seen him playing for the likes of Arsenal, Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers.

Stokes was a free agent after leaving Iranian Gulf Pro League champions Persepolis. His stints in Scottish football have seen him score twice in Hibs' 3-2 2016 Scottish Cup Final victory and win four league titles with Celtic.

Welcoming the 32-year-old to the Tony Macaroni Arena, Livingston said : "With 136 career goals in Scotland alone, it’s safe to say that our new number 9 certainly has an eye for goal!

"Welcome to Livingston, Anthony!"

Livingston are currently sitting bottom of the Scottish Premiership, despite holding Rangers to a 0-0 draw last weekend.

They're next in action tomorrow afternoon when they face Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

Stokes, who has won nine caps for the Irish national team, scored 76 goals in 191 appearances for Celtic and 44 in 94 games across his three spells at Hibs.
