Former Celtic academy coach joins Clyde as transfer recruitment supremo

Clyde have added former Celtic academy coach PJ Corr to the behind the scenes team as Head of Recruitment.

Corr, who has previously worked with Hoops International Academy and at Partick Thistle, has been brought to Broadwood Stadium to build a new-look transfer strategy for gaffer Danny Lennon.

Sporting Director at the League One wise Graham Diamond was delighted with the appointment and insisted he would be working alongside The Bully Wee gaffer.

He told the club website: “PJ will bring energy, enthusiasm, knowledge and experience at the top level to the role and he has already fitted in perfectly with the management team.

"One of his first tasks is to initiate and implement a recruitment team, to ensure that we have first hand knowledge of players at all levels of the game, from grassroots all the way through to the Premier League.

"I am delighted to have secured someone of the calibre of PJ to the club and I look forward to him and his team producing a database of players to assist Danny, to enhance the quality of the squad for this season and in the future."

So far this summer Clyde have snapped up former Airdrie and Forfar man Jamie Bain and Rangers kid Matthew Shiels.
