Former Cardinals OL Max Tuerk dies suddenly at age 26

A former Arizona Cardinals player has died. Max Tuerk, former Cardinals offensive lineman, died on Sunday while hiking with his family, the USC football program announced.

He was 26 years old.

Tuerk was only with the Cardinals briefly. He appeared in one game and spent time on the practice squad in 2017. He was released in April 2018.

He was a standout at USC and was a third-round pick of the Los Angeles Chargers in 2016.
