Former Cardiff City wing Kadeem Harris joins Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday on a free transfer

Former Cardiff City winger Kadeem Harris has joined Sheffield Wednesday on a free transfer.

The 26-year old wide player had been with the Bluebirds since the summer of 2012 but will make a fresh start at Hillsborough after being released by Neil Warnock last month.

Harris arrived at Cardiff City Stadium from Wycombe having played for the Chairboys when just 16.

But while he has been a solid servant for Cardiff, Harris remained on the fringes of the first team squad, though he did play 15 times in the Premier League last season.

Harris walks into an uncertain environment with Cardiff's Championship rivals Wednesday at a time when manager Steve Bruce is in talks with Newcastle about the vacant Magpies manager's job.
