Former Cardiff City and Swansea City defender Jazz Richards' cryptic Instagram post explained

Jazz Richards got Swansea City fans talking after posting a series of images and videos on Instagram.

The defender is without a club after being released by Cardiff City in the summer, despite Oxford United, Bristol City and Luton Town all registering an interest early in the window.

And on Friday, he uploaded a number of pictures to the story function on his official Instagram account.

In the snaps, he was sitting in a car while wearing a bright orange Swansea training jacket.

He went on to post a blank shot which featured the caption: "Rolling back the years! Let's go."

And it's understood Richards has been training with Swansea's Under-23s as he bids to keep fit while he hunts for a new club.

However, there has been no indication to WalesOnline that Swansea are keen to re-sign the man who started his professional career at the Liberty Stadium.

But he could join a club on a free transfer given that he is not under contract at present.

Reports have suggested Sheffield Wednesday and Salford City have both shown an interest in the 29-year-old.

Richards made 51 appearances for the Swans before joining Fulham in 2015 via loan spells with Crystal Palace, Huddersfield Town and the Cottagers.

He made the move to Cardiff in 2016 and made 57 appearances during his four seasons with the Bluebirds.

The versatile defender won the last of his 14 Wales caps against Spain in 2018.
