Six NBA championship rings that commemorate the Bulls’ dynasty of the 1990s have sold individually for a combined value of $255,840.
The bling originally belonged to longtime Bulls security guard John Capps, who had been with the organization from 1966 until his death in 2018. He also appeared in the Michael Jordan documentary “The Last Dance” that debuted earlier this year. Capps’ estate auctioned off the rings, which were available for online bidding through Huggins & Scott Auctions for a two-week period from Oct. 9-22.
Individually priced, the rings were sold for (the final two rings sold for the same price):
- 1991: $39,360
- 1992: $47,970
- 1993: $45,510
- 1996: $24,600
- 1997: $49,200
- 1998: $49,200
Bidding for the rings opened at $5,000 apiece.
