Former Buckeyes safety Kurt Coleman signs with Buffalo Bills

Former Buckeyes star safety Kurt Coleman signed a new NFL contract with the Buffalo Bills after playing last season in New Orleans.

This will be Coleman’s third team in as many years, which actually isn’t too uncommon in the NFL. That said, he will be going from one of the league’s top teams in the Saints to one of the perennially underperforming teams in Buffalo.

The 31-year-old has been without an NFL team since the end of the season. However, he did manage to play all 16 games with New Orleans so he was useful for the Buckeye-filled team.

Coleman’s signing was released by the team via Twitter.

A seventh-round pick in 2010, Coleman started his professional career with the Eagles. That wasn’t before leaving his mark on Columbus, spending all four years with the Buckeyes.

Coleman finished his college career with nine interceptions and over two hundred total tackles.

Overall, it’s a great signing for both Coleman and the Bills. Hopefully he can be a solid piece on a roster that is destined to have a rough season.
