Former Buckeye wrestler Logan Steiber announces retirement from competitive wrestling

All good things must come to an end. Per a release on Twitter today from the official Ohio State Wrestling account, former all-everything Buckeye wrestler Logan Stieber is calling it a career.

Stieber won at every level. He was a four-time state high school champion, four-time Big Ten and national champion at Ohio State, and a world champion on the biggest stage you could possibly be on. Simply put, he’s on the short list of best USA wrestlers of all-time and certainly up there with Kyle Snyder as the best the Buckeyes have ever had wrestling in the scarlet and gray.

It was Stieber who led Ohio State to its first ever national team title in wrestling his senior year of 2015 as well. Watch what he and others close to him have to say about his career below.

As for what Stieber will do going forward? It appears as though he will help train other wrestlers as a regional coach in Ohio as others work to prepare for a wrestling career.
