Former Browns WR Josh Gordon has been reinstated by the NFL once again

Josh Gordon is getting yet another chance in the NFL. The talented but troubled wide receiver is being reinstated by the NFL from his latest indefinite suspension.

Numerous reports, including from Jay Glazer of FOX Sports and Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, indicate Gordon has been reinstated by commissioner Roger Goodell in time to play in the final two weeks. Gordon has remained on the suspended list with the Seattle Seahawks, where he wound up in 2019 after being waived by the New England Patriots. Gordon caught seven passes in five games for Seattle in 2019.

He was suspended by Goodell for his latest violation of the league’s substance abuse and performance-enhancing drug policy last December. It was Gordon’s sixth suspension since joining the NFL in 2012 as a supplemental draft pick by the Browns. He played 41 games in six calendar years with the Browns, punctuated by an All-Pro performance in 2013 where he led the NFL in receiving yards with 1,696.

The Browns finally ended their relationship with the self-admitted drug and alcohol addict in 2018.
