Former Browns WR Dwayne Bowe retires from NFL

Former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Dwayne Bowe signed a one-day contract with the Kansas City Chiefs and retired on Thursday. He spent the best part of his 12-year career with the Chiefs, once leading the league in TD receptions and earning a Pro Bowl berth.

His time in Cleveland did not go well. A celebrated free agent signing in 2015, Bowe stumbled his way to just five catches for 55 yards in seven games. The Browns quickly pulled the plug, and Bowe never played in the NFL again.

If you forgot about Bowe and all he did for the Browns, Dan Labbe of Cleveland.com put together a fitting retrospective video highlighting all of Bowe’s catches in Cleveland. It’s shorter than your average Geico commercial:

Chiefs fans recall a different Bowe, but those who watched him in the brown and orange in Cleveland probably don’t have much nice to say about the newly retired receiver.
