Former Browns coach Forrest Gregg passes away

Pro Football Hall of Fame member and former Cleveland Browns head coach Forrest Gregg has passed away. He was 85.

Gregg is best known for his playing days as one of the greatest offensive linemen in NFL history while playing for the venerable Green Bay Packers teams of the late 1950s and 1960s.

He got into coaching after his playing career ended, and his first head coaching gig was with the Browns in 1975, when he was just 42 years old. Gregg spent three years in Cleveland, compiling an 18-23 record.

He also coached the Bengals and Packers, where one of his linebackers was current Browns GM John Dorsey.

Rest in peace, coach.
