Former British number one Dan Evans set to retire from tennis

  • He achieved a career-high ranking of world No 21 and notably partnered Andy Murray in the men's doubles at the 2024 Paris Olympics, reaching the quarter-finals.
  • In an Instagram post, Evans expressed profound gratitude to his family and team, highlighting that representing Great Britain in the Davis Cup and Olympics was the greatest honour of his career.
  • His career also saw him reach two Masters 1000 semi-finals, though it was interrupted by a one-year ban in 2017 after he tested positive for cocaine.
