Former Bristol City target and Swansea City star training with second tier French club

Former Bristol City target Wilfried Bony is training with another club in his attempts to find a new side.

The Robins were heavily linked with Bony when Benik Afobe was effectively ruled out for the season through injury.

Yet City instead opted to sign former Barcelona striker Rodri on a short-term deal until January, leaving Bony to train with League Two side Newport County.

There has been plenty of speculation over Bony's future, with the 30-year-old a relatively high profile free agent following his release from Swansea City in the summer.

Stints at Manchester City and Stoke City have created interest in where the Ivorian will go to, alongside plenty of publicity over training with Newport.

L'Equipe report that Bony is due to train with French second tier side Le Havre ahead of a potential free transfer.

The Ligue 2 side are managed by former Rangers coach Paul Le Guen and have had a positive start to the season, sitting fifth with 28 points from 17 matches.

It is fair to say Bony would be the biggest name at Les Ciel et Marine , with the majority of the club's players having previously mainly played for other lower-league French sides.
