Former Bristol City, Newcastle United and West Ham United star finds new club at age 39

Marlon Harewood may be 39 but he has shown no sign of hanging up his boots any time soon.

The former Bristol City striker has found a new club - in the 10th tier of English football.

He has signed for Grantham-based Harrowby United, who play in Division One of the United Counties League and currently sit in sixth place in the table.

It will be a far cry from Harewood's peak, when he came through the youth ranks at Nottingham Forest and blitzed 20 goals in a season to earn a 2003 move to West Ham United.

He made 142 league appearances for the Hammers, scoring 47 goals, before moving to Aston Villa, where he was less successful, making 29 appearances over three years and spending time on loan at Wolverhampton Wanderers and Newcastle United.

What Czech Republic defender Tomas Kalas has said about his Chelsea future with Celtic and Rangers linked

Spells at Blackpool, Barnsley, Guangzhou R&F and Forest followed before he joined the Robins for the 2013/14 season.

He scored just one goal for the Robins in 12 League One appearances before departing for Hartlepool in January 2014.
