Former Bristol City and Leeds United summer target made available for transfer from Huddersfield Town

Former Bristol City target Reece Brown has already been made available for transfer by Huddersfield Town.

The attacker was in hot demand over the summer, having been linked with Bristol City, Leeds United and Huddersfield thanks to some good form for Forest Green Rovers in League Two.

Yet with the Robins signing Sammie Szmodics, who plays in a similar position to Brown, Huddersfield and Leeds became front runners in the race, with the Terriers eventually signing him on a free transfer.

Having previously played in the Championship for Birmingham City, hopes were high for the 23-year-old, but he has yet to make an appearance for his new side this season.

Speaking to Examiner Live , Huddersfield boss Danny Cowley said Brown, along with Isaac Mbenza and Herbert Brockhorn, were all available in January.

"They are not available for selection at the moment," said Cowley.

"They are training with a view to potentially being able to be in a position where we can help them find another club come January.

"The lines of communication are always open and they are always clear. It's never personal.

"You have decisions to make as a football manager - that's what we are paid to do.

"I always say the players are paid to train and we are paid to select the team.

"It is their responsibility to train and play at their very best."
