Former Bristol City and Bristol Rovers goalkeeper Steve Phillips talks to Subs Bench about Seniors World Cup win and crossing the divide

This week Subs Bench meets a goalkeeper who crossed the blue and red divide, featuring for both Bristol City and Bristol Rovers.

Steve Phillips made more than 250 appearances during nine years with the Robins between 1997 and 2006 before joining the Gas.

He would have a lengthy career there too, playing 136 times in four years.

Phillips would go on to play for Crewe Alexandra, Bath City, Mangotsfield United and Yeovil Town, where he retired and became a goalkeeping coach last year.
