Tim Sherwood has predicted Tottenham Hotspur and the other three Premier League clubs in the Champions League will all advance into the knockout stages.
The group stage draw was conducted on Thursday, with Spurs facing testing away trips to face Bayern Munich, Red Star Belgrade and Olympiacos.
However, the former Spurs boss believes that Mauricio Pochettino will successfully guide his side past the first hurdle and into the knockout stages, backing the other English sides for similar successes.
As well as that, he also urged Spurs to "pull their socks up" after a difficult start to the season ahead of the North London derby against Arsenal.
“They’ve got to go to Bayern Munich, obviously difficult, they’re in a rebuilding state at the moment but five time winners, it’s never going to be easy,” he told BT Sport.
“Red Star, we’ve talked about Liverpool away from home and they beat them 2-0 last year. Olympiacos in their first game is a tough place to go but they don’t travel very well.
“I can see all of the English teams progressing into the next stage.
“I hope last year wasn’t a one off, for their sake. They believe they can beat anyone on their day but they will have to pull their socks up. At the moment, there is a negative cloud over Tottenham.
“They need to shift it and hopefully they shift it this weekend in the North London derby.”
