A former Gwynedd hotel whose guests have included Winston Churchill and actor Richard Burton has gone on the market.
Bontddu Hall near Dolgellau was once one of the grandest hotels in North Wales.
The site was closed as a hotel in 2004 and turned into a private residence.
But this June the mansion was badly damaged by a serious fire that saw a woman sadly die.
Now it has gone on the market with Christie and Co commercial agents. It has a price tag of £950,000.
Christie and Co said: "The former Bontddu Hall Hotel was originally built in 1873 of stone construction and has hosted a number of famous guests over the years including Sir Winston Churchill.
"Unfortunately the property has recently suffered a serious fire and is no longer able to be utilised as a property in its given state although the structure, in part, still stands.
"Therefore, the opportunity is being offered to the market predominantly for redevelopment of the existing hall, or for an incoming buyer to develop as required, subject to relevant planning permissions and consents from the local authority.
They added: "Bontddu Hall Hotel once traded as a successful business and could again. However, due to the condition of the building it would need to be completely re-built before any business could trade.
"The site offers a range of possibilities for a buyer depending on their requirements."
