Former Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Remi Matthews has signed a deal at Premier League club Crystal Palace.
The 27-year-old has put pen to paper on a two-year deal at Selhurst Park.
He turned out 58 times for Wanderers across both a loan spell from Norwich City and on a permanent deal.
Matthews was released by Wanderers last summer following the club's relegation to League Two and subsequently signed for League One club Sunderland.
Matthews played 11 times for the Black Cats during the course of the 2020/21 campaign across all competitions and departed the Stadium of Light following the expiry of his contract this summer.
But he has now agreed to join the Eagles for the next two years and is looking forward for the challenge ahead.
“I can’t wait to get started," the former Wanderers stopper said.
"I'm excited to work with Dean Kiely again because he helps me improve, and I’ve got two great goalkeepers to look up to in Vicente Guaita and Jack Butland.
"It’s great to be a part of it, and I’m really looking forward to it.”
Palace chairman Steve Parish added: “Remi brings plenty of Football League experience with him, and we are really pleased to add him to our goalkeeping ranks, where he will continue to develop under the tutelage of Dean Kiely, alongside Vicente Guaita and Jack Butland.”
