A former nightclub site in north Birmingham is set to be transformed into a new £25 million mixed-use scheme by the same team behind the Parkgate development in Solihull.
Bordeaux Estates is hoping to win the city's backing to regenerate the old home of Rosie's in Sutton Coldfield, to create 75 one- and two-bedroom apartments, 4,305 sq ft of retail and leisure space and car parking.
The scheme, which has been designed by Edgbaston-base SR Davis Architects, will be called Central Place.
An outline planning application has been lodged with Birmingham City Council and it is hoped it will receive approval later this year, with work set to start straight away after the previous buildings were demolished last year.
Construction work is then expected to be completed in 2023.
Bordeaux Estates was founded by Jonathan Cox and Steve Cole who previously worked on the Parkgate Shopping Centre and residential development in Shirley, under the name Shirley Advance, which opened in 2014.
Mr Cox said: "We see the scheme as providing a real opportunity to bring new life and confidence to this neglected area of Sutton Coldfield town centre and, with it, the catalyst for further development and investment."
