Vontaze Burfict isn’t the only former member of the Cincinnati Bengals making headlines.
Quarterback AJ McCarron was a free agent as well and has decided to sign with the Houston Texans, meaning he’ll be serving as the backup behind Deshaun Watson in the AFC South.
McCarron was famously a part of a few different trade ideas over the years, including the botch at the deadline by Cleveland. The Bengals ended up losing a grievance against McCarron, letting him slip to free agency, then only getting a sixth-round comp pick back for his departure.
Since, McCarron went to Buffalo and sat behind a first-round pick before getting shipped to Oakland, where he attempted three passes and got cut the following March.
