Former Bengals OT Andrew Whitworth announces he is not retiring

The NFC Champion Los Angeles Rams found out Tuesday former Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth will be returning for 2019.

Whitworth mentioned after the Super Bowl in Atlanta that he was contemplating retirement but will now return for his final season in the NFL.

The longtime Bengal joined the Rams in 2017 after previously playing in Cincinnati for the entirety of his career from 2006-2016. Whitworth was taken in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the Bengals after playing four seasons at LSU following a freshman redshirt.

The 37-year-old offensive tackle announced his return to Los Angeles with this hilarious tweet.

According to Mike Garafolo, Whitworth will make roughly $10.75 million with the Rams next season in the final year of his contract.
