Cincinnati Bengals former cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones has agreed to a plea deal and will serve jail time.
Per the Cincinnati Enquirer’s Max Londberg, the ex-Bengal was accused of an array of charges.
Jones was arrested in February at Rising Star Casino in Ohio County. He was accused of threatening to kill an Indiana Gaming Commission officer and striking or grabbing a public safety official.
On Thursday, five additional counts of felony cheating at gambling were filed against Jones, according to Ohio County Circuit Court records.
Later that same day, the five counts of cheating at gambling were dismissed as part of a plea deal in Jones’ original case, said Ohio County Prosecutor Lynn Deddens by email.
This isn’t Jones’ first encounter with law enforcement.
During his days with the Bengals, Jones seemed to have a second home in the courthouse. However, these are much more serious offenses than the ones he typically encountered while on the Bengals.
The incidents occurred on February 27. The fines and jail time that Jones’ faces are yet to be determined given that, while he’s accepted, his deal has yet to be processed.
