Former Bears WR Earl Bennett shares perspective on reports of Packers dysfunction

The Green Bay Packers received some seemingly rare negative publicity this week as Bleacher Report reported on the rift between Aaron Rodgers and former head coach Mike McCarthy.

Former Packers players and staff described the quarterback as entitled and tuning out his coach, who was also lambasted for his tenure in Green Bay.

They were a punching bag for fans on Twitter, but former Chicago Bears wide receiver Earl Bennett didn’t take the easy shots.

He shared how things played out in his experience, which had some similarities to the reports out of Green Bay.

Bennett wasn’t defending Rodgers or McCarthy necessarily, but he was pointing out the behind the scenes issues that go on with many teams.

If 2018 was any indication, the Bears don’t have that problem with Matt Nagy and Mitchell Trubisky.
