Former Bears OLB Leonard Floyd to sign 1-year, $10M deal with Rams

After being released by the Chicago Bears on Tuesday, pass rusher Leonard Floyd has already found a new home.

Floyd is signing a one-year deal worth $10 million with the Los Angeles Rams. The contract is worth up to $13 million, which is what the Bears would’ve owed Floyd had they kept him under his fifth-year option.

Ultimately, a team did get Floyd for less than the $13.2 million he was previously owed by the Bears under his fifth-year option.

The Bears are not eligible for a compensatory pick for Floyd, considering they rescinded his fifth-year option.

Floyd will have his chance at revenge against the Bears, who are set to visit the Rams in Los Angeles this season.
