Former Bears OL Kyle Long joins CBS Sports Network’s pregame show

Long-time Bears offensive lineman Kyle Long will be part of CBS Sports Network’s “That Other Pregame Show” this season after agreeing to a deal as an analyst.

Long, 31, joins Amy Trask, London Fletcher and Adam Schein on a show that runs as an alternate to network pregame shows on CBS and Fox. His father, Howie, has been a staple of Fox’s show.

Kyle Long has been pondering life after football since being exiled by the Bears in October, and media is a natural fit. He was one of the Bears’ most popular players the last seven years in large part because of his colorful personality.

“As a recently retired player, Kyle brings a knowledge straight from the field of today’s game coupled with the mindset of its current generation of athletes,” CBS Sports executive Harold Bryant said in a statement. “His experience as an offensive lineman also will complement that of his colleague London Fletcher, who spent 17 seasons as a linebacker in the NFL.”
