A 110,000 sq ft former bank office is being marketed as a potential company headquarters.

The Grade A office at 525 Ferry Road in Edinburgh was formerly the Scottish base for State Street Bank.

Grade A former RBS office in Edinburgh seeks new tenant

It boasts panoramic views to Edinburgh Castle, some of the city's largest, open-plan floor plates in Edinburgh and 218 car parking spaces. It also has showers, lockers and secure cycle storage.

The building was vacated in 2018 when State Street Bank moved its operations to Quartermile. It was let in 2018 to arts charity Edinburgh Palette.

CuthbertWhite and JLL are seeking corporate occupiers for part or all of the building on a 10 year lease at “rents reflecting a clear 33% discount from prime city-centre".

The three-storey building can be fully refurbished by the landlord, a fund managed by ReInvest Asset Management, to suit the requirements of new occupiers.

Strong end to 2018 for commercial property investors as Scotland outperforms UK average

Nick White, of joint letting agents CuthbertWhite, said: “This building offers an attractive opportunity for a company to take an impressive, Grade A building that’s ready to occupy as is, or could be refurbished to their own specification.”

“It represents excellent value and offers a range of different floor combinations and sizes in a location that’s just a short bus ride or cycle into the heart of Edinburgh.”
