A Devon bakery which has been left abandoned for years has been transformed into a business hub.
The Tiverton based Old Bakery has been snapped up by Clavia Group owner Matt Dodd who has relocated to the new Westexe base.
Other businesses are also being encouraged to use the space, offers hot-desking and rentable offices, Devon Live reported.
Clavia produces video content, such as music videos, marketing material, or training guides.
Mr Dodd said: “It’s a beautiful old building and we had a need to increase our office space because of increased business.
“This was up for sale, so my uncle and business partner Richard Dodd and I thought we would take a look. It all checked out OK, it’s in good structural health and just needed a good thorough wash down and redecorate. That’s what we’ve been doing, and we now have our space and want to invite business to share it with us.
“We have space to rent and serviced office accommodation. We will soon be encouraging people who want to rent a fully furnished, wi-fi operable centre to get in touch. We also have facilities with disabled access and showers as well. It can create an illusion of your business being bigger than it is.
“It’s been quite stressful moving to these new premises, but we’ve done it, we’re here, and now we need to get the word out. The Old Bakery is back and in play.
"Previously it’s been a day centre for Devon County Council, it’s been a pub, a bakery, a restaurant, it’s been pretty much everything, and now it’s a video studio and a serviced office accommodation.
“It’s ideal for a smaller business that needs to grow, in the same way my own business has grown locally.”
The premises were officially opened by the mayor of Tiverton, Councillor Colin Slade on Friday, October 18.
