A former Great British Bake Off star has hit out at the baking show that propelled her into the limelight.

Ruby Tandoh, who competed on the show in 2013, said the trademark jingle makes her “feel sick” in a scathing interview.

The ex contestant, 29, added further insult when she said she didn’t watch Bake Off anymore despite once competing on the programme.

She said on the How To Fail podcast: “When I hear the little song, the little jingle at the start, I feel sick.

“I can’t have anything to do with it, I’m afraid.”

She added: “No, not at all. No, I can’t. I appreciate it as a show, I think the format is clearly compelling, but no.”

Bake Off fans will remember her feud with Paul Hollywood which erupted after her appearance on the show.

Ms Tandoh reignited the flames of her feud in the new interview.

She said she “didn’t lose sleep” over previously calling the Bake Off judge a “walking gammon joint” and a “peakcocking manchild”.

She added: “I don’t think that he’s particularly hurt by that. I don’t think he’s very vulnerable to the judgment of others, so yeah, that I don’t feel too bad about.”

Ms Tandoh come out as bisexual soon after her series finished on TV.
