Stefan Okunbor has earned a call-up to the Kerry senior squad for the 2022 season.
The former Australian Rules player returned home a few months ago and starred for Na Gaeil and St. Brendan’s in club action.
New Kerry boss Jack O’Connor was clearly impressed with his form and has handed Okunbor the chance to stake a claim at senior level.
O'Connor previously managed Okunbor - a former Munster under-20 Player of the Year - at underage level.
Forward Jack Savage has also been recalled after showing fine form in Kerins O’Rahillys march to the Kerry County final, where they lost out to Austin Stacks.
Savage had a stint in the Kerry squad under Eamonn Fitzmaurice and forced his way into the starting line-up for a spell.
O’Connor has called up nine new players in all.
Among them is Dr. Crokes goalkeeper, Shane Murphy who was also involved under Fitzmaurice.
