Former Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud on Manchester United 'radar' and more transfer rumours

Former Arsenal and Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud is reportedly on Manchester United's 'radar' in the January transfer window.

Erik ten Hag's side are looking to add a new centre-forward this winter following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. A lack of goals has been one of the Dutchman's regular complaints about his side and the former Ajax manager is ready to take action to add more firepower to his attack.

According to The Times, United are interested in making a move for Giroud in the January transfer window as they keep tabs on the AC Milan star's availability. The 36-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season but it is thought the Frenchman is expecting a new deal to be offered by the Serie A side.

Despite his age, Giroud has shown that he is still capable of scoring consistently at a high level after he broke Thierry Henry's all-time record for France during the World Cup.

Elsewhere, The Athletic report that Ten Hag is willing to sell at least four United players in the January window. Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe, Brandon Williams and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are thought to be on the United manager's list to leave the club this winter.

It is understood that due to Tuanzebe and Jones' struggle with injuries, finding a club that would sign them this month could be challenging, while Williams who has also recently returned to full fitness, would not be sold on the cheap due to his future potential.

Despite Wan-Bissaka's recent good performances for United, Ten Hag is still believed to be open to selling the former Crystal Palace defender this window.
