Former Arsenal striker delivers stinging verdict over Aaron Ramsey's move to Juventus

Former Arsenal striker Jeremie Aliadiere has dubbed the Gunners’ imminent loss of Aaron Ramsey as "criminal".

The Wales international has confirmed he will leave the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season when his contract expires, having agreed a lucrative deal with Italian champions Juventus.

The 28-year-old will bring an end to his 11-year association with Arsenal and his departure will leave a sour taste in the mouth for many as the north London side will not earn a penny for his services.

That does not sit well with Aliadiere, who praised Ramsey’s ability and issued a stern verdict on the situation.

Torreira, Lacazette, Suarez, Guendouzi, Ozil - Every Arsenal player rated for the season so far

“It pains me every time I go to the Emirates and see how well he is performing, knowing that he won’t be there next season,” he told TalkSport.

“He is a team player, he will work for the team and do anything for the team before himself. Losing a player like this on a free, for me, is criminal.”

Aliadiere also raised concerns about the current situation at the club, questioning whether they still have the ability to lure big names due to the uncertainty surrounding the future.

“Arsenal has become a club that doesn’t really attract top players and coaches because you just don’t know what direction they’re going into, which with Arsene Wenger, for 22 years, was going in the same direction with the same people around.

The 10 players Emery and Sanllehi must have on their summer transfer list to transform Arsenal

“These days, it’s like everyone is in limbo and not knowing if they’re going to be there next season or not, which is difficult for everybody at the club.”
