Stewart Robson has hammered Rob Holding following his display in Arsenal's 1-1 draw in the Europa League at Vitoria this evening.
Holding started the contest for the Gunners and played the entire 90 minutes but his performance will be remembered for the way he was easily beaten for the late equalising goal.
Shkodran Mustafi looked to potentially be the unlikely hero for Arsenal when he scored in the 80th minute but Unai Emery's men were unable to hold on.
Duarte da Silva scored the equaliser, though, for the hosts as Holding played a role in his side's own downfall.
The defender has found game-time difficult to come by this season, having not featured for the Gunners in the Premier League.
And judging by former star Robson's reaction to his display, Holding might not be getting any closer to Emery's starting line-up in the league anytime soon.
"This is where Rob Holding, if you’re playing as the left-sided centre-half, you've got to be comfortable in one-on-one situations when the ball is played behind you," he said on BT Sport's commentary.
"First of all, he should get out quicker. He allows Marcus Edwards to run at him, he doesn’t time his tackle and it’s an easy cross for him. It’s a very good finish from Duarte, into the ground and into the far corner.
"But Rob Holding has to stop that cross coming in. That's not good enough defending."
