Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed how he still has the hunger to manage at the top level.
Wenger has been out of management since leaving the Gunners in the summer of 2018.
A Premier League legend in his own right, Wenger enjoyed a stellar 22-year spell in charge of the north London club, which saw him claim three leagues titles and seven FA Cups as well as developing a unique brand of football.
But it now appears the Frenchman is ready to return to the world of management aged 69 after deciding against making a return in the past due to personal reasons.
"The hunger is there," Wenger told Sky Sports on Monday evening.
"The hunger to play football, win games, I play charity games still. The hunger is completely there, I don't think you lose the desire to win and that bitterness when you lose a football game.
"It's more down to the physical potential, to be healthy and I'm lucky on that front until now."
Before Wenger added: "I'm not disappointed because I've had many opportunities, I decided not to go back into it for personal reasons. Overall I believe I was happy to discover some free time.
"I will be 70 in a few days and I was managing at 33 years of age at the top club and I've never stopped. So for me to discover after 37 years that I can have some free time was good as well."
