Former Arsenal man Lauren names the player that the Gunners must sign to replace Aaron Ramsey

Former Arsenal full-back Lauren has named the player who he thinks should be signed by Unai Emery to replace Aaron Ramsey this summer.

Ramsey has left the Emirates Stadium for Italian giants Juventus after the expiry of his Arsenal contract, he was unable to play in the final games of the season due to injury = and is going to be a big miss for the Gunners throughout the next few campaigns, unless they can find someone to come in a fill the void.

Lauren, who played 32 times for Arsenal in the invincible season of 2003/04, thinks he knows exactly who would be able to step into the Welshman's shoes.

"Yannick Carrasco has been linked with the club; he is a very good player and is someone that that Emery and his staff will be considering,"the former Cameroon international told bwin.

"Mario Gotze is also another very good player that has been linked with Arsenal and he could do a great job at replacing Ramsey in Arsenal’s midfield."

Gotze played 34 times in all competitions for Borussia Dortmund last season, scoring seven goals and providing the same number of assists, but the summer arrivals of Julian Brandt and Thorgan Hazard could reduce his playing time in the Bundesliga next season.

The German international didn't give much away when asked about his future earlier in the month.

"I always hear these rumours, they come up every year," the 27-year-old told DAZN (via the Metro).

"Everyone has their value and the club has to decide who fits where. I have a year on my contract and I am comfortable in the Bundesliga.

"I am very relaxed, I wanted to play a reasonable season, contributing with my performances and focusing on myself was important for me."
