Former Arsenal and Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas sends brutal message to Tottenham fans on Twitter

It's safe to say Cesc Fabregas isn't Tottenham fans' favourite footballer of all-time.

Fabregas spent eight years at north London rivals Arsenal from 2003 until 2011 before moving to Barcelona, where Spurs fans thought they'd seen the back of the former Spain midfielder.

However, the now 34-year-old then joined fellow London rivals Chelsea, where he spent five years before joining AS Monaco two years ago.

As to be expected with his past affiliation with two of Tottenham's biggest rivals, Fabregas has taken the opportunity to slate Spurs in the past - and today is no different, with the Spaniard taking to his Twitter page.

Asked by a fan on the social media website: "Retire or play for Spurs?", Fabregas, rather inevitably, replied: "You know the answer mate".

As mentioned above, this is not the first time Fabregas has taken aim at Spurs - in fact, he's pretty experienced in the field.

In 2020, he was asked in another Twitter Q&A about which of his 50 Premier League goals was his favourite and he replied: "Every goal against Spurs will do".

During his Gunners days, Fabregas managed to score twice against Spurs in the Premier League, including one superb solo goal at the Emirates Stadium.

However, for Chelsea, the former World Cup winner never found the back of the net against Tottenham.

Fabregas did, though, manage to produce 12 assists in his 18 Premier League appearances against Tottenham, for both Arsenal and Chelsea.

In those matches, the Spaniard was on the winning side seven times, while drawing the same amount of games and losing four times.
