Former Arsenal and Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas reveals his management dream

Cesc Fabregas has revealed that he intends to move into management after his playing days are over.

The former Arsenal and Chelsea star is not ready to take that step just yet though as he is still enjoying life on the playing side of things with AS Monaco in Ligue 1.

Having played under some of the game's greats, including Arsene Wenger, Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho, Fabregas will certainly have learnt a thing or two during his playing days.

Fabregas was a serial winner with Chelsea and Barcelona, picking up league titles and domestic cups to add to his international haul of two European Championships and the World Cup.

The 34-year-old has at least one more year left playing with his contract at Monaco running until 2022 but his thoughts have drifted towards the next challenge.

On the potential of a coaching career, Fabregas told talkSPORT : "It’s something that’s been inside me for a long time, it’s something I’d like to try.

"People tell me I’m crazy because after a long career and so much pressure, going into management is maybe even more pressure!

"It’s something that I like, I want to give it a go. I’m learning, studying, listening from a lot of different people and in football you always keep learning every day so I’m happy about this."

Fabregas is on the verge of his 19th season as a professional since making his first-team debut for Arsenal aged just 16 in 2003.

The Spaniard might have management on his mind but as could be seen on his social media pages is enjoying returning to pre-season training, with the midfielder writing simply "pre-season" alongside pictures of him preparing for the new campaign in Monaco.
