Feb. 03--Former Angels General Manager Jerry Dipoto, now with the Seattle Mariners, has sold his home in Newport Beach for $2.665 million.
The two-story home, built in 2003 and since remodeled, has an East Coast vibe with white coffered ceilings, dark wood floors and decorative molding.
Within the 4,300 square feet of interiors is a center-island kitchen that opens to a family room with a fireplace and a three wine fridges. Other spaces include a formal dining room, a sound-proof media room, four bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms.
A sitting room with a round ceiling dome and a fireplace lends a refined look to the master bedroom. A soaking tub and a walk-in closet complete the master suite.
Outdoors, there's a paver patio with a built-in barbecue. A small gated courtyard sits off the front of the home.
Dipoto bought the house for $1.875 million in 2012, his first season with the Angels, records show.
Tim Smith of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage was the listing agent. Evan Corkett of Villa Real Estate represented the buyer.
Dipoto, 47, stepped down from his position as general manager of the Angels last summer and later joined the Boston Red Sox in an advisory role. In September, the baseball executive was hired by the Seattle Mariners as their general manager.
