Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu booked by CID in corruption case

Former Chief Minister and TDP president Nara Chandrababu Naidu, former Minister P. Narayana and several other have been charged with committing several irregularities and showing favouritism to select individuals while designing the Capital master plan, Inner Ring Road and arterial roads by the  AP-CID.

Based on a complaint by Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy on April 27, the AP-CID booked cases under sections 120 (B), 420, 34. 35. 36, 37, 166, 167 and 217 IPC and section 13 (2) , R/W 13 (1) of ACB Act.

Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy in his complaint said that Mr. Naidu, in his capacity as Chief Minister and others indulged in corruption while designing of master plan of Capital region and had acted in a manner causing huge losses to State exchequer.

The others who have been booked are, Lingamaneni Ramesh, Lingamaneni Venkata Surya Rajasekhar, KVP Anjani Kumar alias Bobby of Ramakrishna Housing Pvt Ltd, heritage foods, LEPL Info city, Lingamaneni Agricultural developers, Jayani Estates, and several individuals.

There was no immediate reaction from the opposition party in connection with the case registered by the CID against Mr. Naidu.
