John Brogan made a surprise return to the dugout in a dramatic win for Blantyre Victoria over Whittlets.
With gaffer John Gibson missing the game to get married, Brogan was back on the touchline for the first time since his ill-fated spell at Albion Rovers came to an end in October 2018.
The veteran boss masterminded a crucial win as the Lanarkshire outfit climbed into the promotion spots through Jake Hughes' injury time winner.
The stand-in boss was delighted with the display.
He told Lanarkshire Live Sport: "John Gibson asked me four weeks ago if I would step in as manager for the game when he got married; weather permitting the game was on.
"I go every week to watch my grandson so it wasn't a problem for me.
"The team were fantastic; at about the 90 minute mark I was thinking it might not have been a great idea to come in! The boys dug deep and were smashing in some terrible conditions."
He continued: "I only knew two of the boys in the dressing room going into the game and they put in a great performance for me.
"They really are a top group and gave me a great response to going behind which is all that I could have asked for.
"I'm sure they'll get promoted and hopefully they can top that off with a title as well if they keep the pressure on."
After the drama of a last minute winner and helping Victoria move into the top three for the first time this season - has Brogan got the management bug back?
"No, that's me - I'm in and out now," he added jokingly. "I can leave with an 100 per cent record."
