Former Aides Criticize Sen. Fetterman's Support For Israel

Senator Eric Schmidt Criticizes Biden's Student Loan Forgiveness Plan

Former aides to Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., have expressed their discontent with the senator's unwavering support for Israel, as reported on Tuesday. One former aide highlighted Fetterman's perceived lack of empathy towards Palestinians affected by the conflict.

According to Vanity Fair, by the end of March, four members of Fetterman’s communications team had resigned, citing concerns over his strong pro-Israel stance. The magazine noted that some former staffers now work for politicians and organizations openly critical of Israel, such as Sen. Bob Casey and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson.

The Washington Examiner revealed that press aide Emma Mustion left to join Senator Bob Casey, who has called for increased humanitarian aid in Gaza. Nick Gavio, Fetterman’s former deputy communications director, moved to the Working Families Party, which advocates for a cease-fire in the region—a position contrary to Fetterman's stance.

Another ex-staffer, Joe Calvello, transitioned to the role of chief strategy officer for Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson. Fetterman has consistently supported Israel's right to self-defense, particularly in response to recent terrorist attacks.

In a recent interview, Fetterman criticized anti-Israel protests, stating that disruptive demonstrations do not serve the cause effectively. He emphasized the importance of conducting advocacy in a lawful and respectful manner, cautioning against aggressive tactics that could undermine the message.
