Jeremiah Poutasi cut by Cardinals, becoming first ex-AAF player to be waived in NFL

The stint with the Arizona Cardinals for offensive lineman Jeremiah Poutasi was short-lived. Last week, Arizona signed the former Salt Lake Stallions lineman after the Alliance of American Football shut down operations two weeks ago.

According to the NFL transaction list, he has been waived already.

A former third-round pick of the Tennessee Titans, Poutasi had a connection with Cardinals offensive line coach Sean Kugler but apparently did not make much of an impression in offseason workouts.

The Cardinals still have one former AAF player on their roster: offensive lineman Andrew Lauderdale, who played for the Arizona Hotshots.
