Formation, rotation and competition for places - pick your Newcastle side to take on Bournemouth

Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce has plenty of options available to him in central midfield as he prepares for the Magpies' game at Bournemouth.

The clash at the Vitality Stadium will United's fourth in just 11 days after the Premier League restart, with games against West Ham and Manchester City coming up in the next week.

But will Bruce will hope is able to rotate his squad to give key players a break, he is boosted by the return of Jonjo Shelvey to full fitness, while Nabil Bentaleb is available after sitting out the FA Cup defeat to Man City through suspension.

Matt Ritchie is 'touch and go' whether he'll be fit to reclaim his place, while Florian Lejeune could be out for the rest of the season.

However, Bruce must decide whether to bring Joelinton back into the starting line up, with Andy Carroll desperate to keep his place in the side. Dwight Gayle is also looking to build on his goal against Villa - and atone for that miss against City.
